Georgia Sarianides
Cookbook Author, TV Personality, Restaurateur, Educator

Georgia Sarianides' Greek family has always held cooking and cuisine as a top priority. So, it's no wonder that she feels at home in the thriving culinary atmosphere of Boston , where they welcomed her flavorful Mediterranean recipes. Georgia went on to establish several local restaurants and a catering firm. Her energy and desire to share her message of nourishing the body inside and out with fresh foods deliciously prepared led her to begin teaching adults and children through a popular series of classes as well as cooking demonstrations in stores such as Kitchen, Etc. and Bloomingdales. Next, her passion carried her to the airwaves, in 1998, with Cooking With Georgia, an award winning television show which now reaches a viewing audience of over 10 million in 17 cable markets across the country. International celebrity followed with features on Discovery Networks, PBS, Atenna1 Greece and Alpha International and newspaper profiles in the New York Times, Boston Globe and others in which she was touted as the next Julia Child.

Georgia 's warmth and engaging, lively personality really sparkles when she talks with people about food and family, which are intrinsically entwined for her. At culinary events like South Beach Wine & Food Festival, and Foxwoods Resort Food & Wine Festival and the Hermas Expo, as well as in live radio appearances and more than 200 book signings with Barnes & Nobles and Borders Bookstores, people are drawn to her down home manner as much as her incredible food. Her three cookbooks share her friendly humor and have been noted as the Best in Mediterranean and Greek cuisine by the International Cookbook Revue and Bella Online for her easy to follow recipes. Ever eager to share, Georgia is working on two more books, tentatively titled “Real Food, Real People, Real Simple” and “The Beauty of Mediterranean Cuisine”, which will also include health and beauty tips.

A graduate of the prestigious Culinary School of Athens and member of numerous culinary organizations such as the James Beard Foundation, National Restaurant Association and the International Restaurant Association, Georgia is committed to encouraging future chefs through regular teaching visits to local junior and senior high schools. She is also a proud sponsor of the Walk for Hunger and The Home for Little Wanderers.
